Students will be responsible for all school rules and PBIS standards in addition to the following: Projects/Activities pertaining to local history Instruction of this course includes the following: The best way to engage in these opportunities is to come to class with an open mind and be prepared with the necessary materials. Students will be given daily opportunities to demonstrate their learning and skills they have acquired. Chromebook and charger- we will use chromebooks EVERYDAY for notes and assignments.It is the student’s responsibility to keep track of their grades. If the student does not agree with a grade on their grade sheet, they have until the next time the teacher gives them a new 3-week grade sheet to discuss and look over particular assignment(s). Students are responsible for their grades, and they will sign a form stating that they received a grade sheet and that they will show the grade sheet to their parents. Parents may access grades on Infinite Campus, and a grade sheet will be sent home every three weeks beginning the third week of school. At appropriate times, movies and other media may be shown to master a Georgia teaching standard.

This course has a Georgia Milestone (End of Course) Test. These methods will include, but not be limited to lecture, group work, reading comprehension, comparative analysis, synthesis of knowledge, and memory recall. This course will employ a variety of instructional methods designed to promote the use of critical thinking skills. The course concludes with significant developments of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Beginning with early European colonization, the course examines the development of United States history.
